Samara Aoun, D.M.D.

Growing up in Massachusetts, Dr. Samara was drawn to dentistry because it allowed her to work with her hands while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She chose orthodontics for the opportunity to transform smiles, connect with patients and their families, and help people feel more confident. Having been both a patient and a dental assistant at the practice, Dr. Samara brings a unique understanding of the patient experience. Returning as an orthodontic associate has brought her journey full circle, and she is grateful to now care for patients in a place that has been an important part of her own story.

Proud of her Brazilian and Lebanese heritage, Dr. Samara is fluent in English and Portuguese and strives to make every patient and family feel comfortable, understood, and supported throughout their care.

Educational Background

Dr. Samara earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, followed by a Master of Science in Oral Health Sciences from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She then earned her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she remained to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Throughout her education and specialty training, Dr. Samara received several academic honors and awards, including the Everett Shapiro Award, the Austin Scholarship, Merit Scholarships, and recognition on the Dean’s List.

Committed to providing thoughtful, up-to-date care, Dr. Samara regularly attends orthodontic conferences and continuing education courses to stay current with advances in treatment and technology.

Outside The Office

Outside the office, Dr. Samara loves spending time with family and friends, especially over good Brazilian barbecue. She enjoys traveling to new places, discovering new restaurants, playing volleyball, and catching a good concert whenever she can.
